CybHER

WOMEN & GIRLS IN CYBER SECURITY.
WE PUT THE 'HER' IN CYBHER!

CybHER®'s mission is to empower, motivate, educate, and change the perception of girls and women in cybersecurity. By providing resources for girls from middle school through collegiate programs and into professional careers, CybHER will allow women to foster positive and encouraging relationships within this industry through original and curated content that educates and motivates women. Ultimately, our goal is to increase diversity by introducing more girls to cybersecurity, who will then transition to women in collegiate programs, and finally highly trained professionals. While CybHER’s mission is to promote STEM and technology for females, CybHER is open to everyone.

Dear Asian Youth

BY ASIAN YOUTH. FOR ASIAN YOUTH.

We are a group of Asian youths striving to uplift marginalized communities through education, activism, and celebration.

Dear Asian Youth was founded in May of 2020 by Stephanie Hu, a 16-year-old who wished to create a platform to publish her poetry. It evolved into a blog dedicated to the Asian narrative, then a literary magazine, then a full-fledged organization with over 100 members on the national team. Functioning remotely, the organization today is the result of passionate volunteers with a shared purpose.

Demanding More

Demanding More is THE diversity and inclusion book you need to read. Moving beyond HR speak, this book clearly explains what diversity and inclusion are and what it means in the everyday experience of millions of people, both at work and in life. Sheree Atcheson, Global Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Peakon and ex Monzo, draws on her experience as a young woman of colour in an overly white male tech environment; she lives and breathes the issues she writes about. In Demanding More, she calls out the lack of awareness around privilege, unchecked and unconscious biases and details what intersectionality does to feelings of discrimination and disadvantage. ···

Develop for Good

UNLOCK YOUR FULL DIGITAL POTENTIAL.

Moved by the compassion of their fellow classmates, and spurred by the critical needs of both students looking for work and nonprofits seeking digital support, Computer Science students at Stanford created Develop for Good. The organization supported teams of students as they developed technical products for nonprofits, and later partnered with Silicon Valley tech companies to engage industry professionals as mentors to the students. As a result, Develop for Good provided tech students with guided, real-world project experience while they simultaneously helped the people and causes they cared about most.

Today, Develop for Good powers social good through students from all colleges and backgrounds. The Bay Area nonprofit especially prioritizes making its valuable, hands-on project experiences accessible to underserved and underrepresented students in tech to accelerate their careers. It strives to empower the next generation of diverse tech leaders to learn by doing good, all while furthering the digital transformation of the nonprofit sector. At its core, Develop for Good hopes to create a world where students, nonprofits, and corporations are dedicated to furthering technical education, advancing digital equity, and helping one another unlock their fullest potential.
