TECHNOLOchicas

INSPIRING LATINAS TO CREATE THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY

TECHNOLOchicas is a national initiative of the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) and Televisa Foundation designed to raise awareness among young Latinas and their families about opportunities and careers in technology.

TECHNOLOchicas uses the powerful stories of Latinas from diverse backgrounds, who are in technology fields, and recognize the power of innovation to change the world. These stories allow girls to see and relate to real-life role models.

Technovation & The AI Forward Alliance

COMMUNITIES USING TECHNOLOGY FOR CHANGE

The AI Forward Alliance (TAIFA) will empower a generation of female leaders and innovators to use technology to drive innovation to solve complex global problems.

TAIFA is committed to offering girls worldwide access to the education, skills, and technology essential for success in and influence in a future where AI plays a pivotal role.

Our Technovation Girls program equips young women (ages 8-18) to become tech entrepreneurs and leaders. With the support of volunteer mentors and parents, girls work in teams to code mobile apps that address real-world problems.

We are a global tech education nonprofit that empowers girls to become leaders, creators and problem-solvers.

Techtonica

The tech industry in the Bay Area is causing displacement and increasing income disparity. The industry also needs to build more diverse technical teams.

We asked, "What if we could help tech companies build much-needed diverse technical teams by having them sponsor training for and hire underrepresented, underprivileged locals who need jobs the most?"

The Anti-Ableist Manifesto

Founder of advocacy organization Diversability and creator of the viral Anti-Ableism Series on TikTok, Tiffany Yu's revelatory examination of disability—how to unpack your biases and build a disability-inclusive and accessible world.

The Anti-Ableist Manifesto defines ableism as discrimination in favor of non-disabled people and helps readers understand that ending discrimination begins with self-reflection. Tiffany Yu celebrates the power of stories and lived experiences to foster the proximity, intimacy, and humanity of disability identities that have far too often been “othered” and rendered invisible. ···
