It’s important that women’s participation in cryptocurrency business and blockchain tech happens quickly. Early adopters who develop blockchains and invest in cryptocurrencies before they go mainstream get the lion’s share of its wealth and influence.

Unless women get involved soon, two important opportunities might get missed: the chance to make their mark on modern finance, and the moment to share the wealth that new, successful technologies bring.

WiCyS is the only non-profit membership organization with international reach that is dedicated to bringing together women in cybersecurity from academia, research and industry to share knowledge, experience, networking and mentoring. WiCyS helps build a strong cybersecurity workforce with gender equality by facilitating recruitment, retention and advancement for women in the field. The initiative was created through an NSF grant by Dr. Ambareen Siraj at Tennessee Tech University in 2012, and has grown into a wonderful alliance among academia, government and industry.

Women in Data was created in 2015, when our founder noticed the lack of women representation as she began her journey into data. Concerned about the prospect of gender equality in a data-driven future, the first chapter of Women in Data was launched.

We have since shaped Women in Data to the global community we are today. A place for data enthusiasts of all backgrounds to connect, grow, and lead together.

Our mission since day one has been to increase diversity in data careers because we know representation and participation of all kinds matters, especially in growing, in-demand roles across data and technology.

At our core, we want to achieve gender equality and empower women and girls in the field of data. Unfortunately, gender parity remains far off around the world. Whether it’s often carrying the burden of unpaid work (hello moms everywhere) or not being made aware or given the same opportunities as men, women are still falling behind.

The Women in Data Science (WiDS) initiative aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field. WiDS started as a one-day technical conference at Stanford in November 2015.

Women In Film (WIF) is a non-profit organization that advocates for and advances the careers of women working in the screen industries – to achieve parity and transform culture.

Founded in 1973, WIF provides members with camaraderie, networking opportunities, educational programs, scholarships, grants, film finishing funds, access to employment opportunities and mentorships. Furthermore, WIF enables members who exhibit advanced and innovative skills numerous practical services, as well as participation in the organization’s film and television shadowing programs and its award-winning Production Program (FKA: the PSA program).

WIF is dedicated to helping women achieve their highest potential within the global entertainment, communication and media industries. WIF’s fundamental belief is that entertainment created by and for women should represent 50% of all content worldwide, in sync with the voice of the population itself. WIF’s mandate is to ensure gender parity for women in management positions as well as in front of and behind the camera, and to preserve the legacies of all women within the media industries.

Women in Fintech is advancing women in the fintech industry. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and community sharing our knowledge and experiences to create a more diverse fintech industry in which individuals of all genders feel connected, encouraged, and empowered. Originally established in 2014, and now with 2000+ members, Women in Fintech hosts a variety of events across the country including panels, happy hours, and trivia nights.

We will become the professional network for women and non-binary people interested in fintech, no matter their gender, background, or geography.

Women in Games is the not for profit organisation that seeks a games industry, culture and community free of gender discrimination, where full equality of opportunity, treatment and conditions empowers all women to achieve their full potential. It works in partnership with individual Ambassadors and companies like Dovetail, Outplay, 2K, Creative Assembly, Rockstar, Ubisoft, Sumo and now Barclays Ventures to make equality a reality. Women in Games is 10 years old and is now officially represented in 32 different countries.

Women in Identity (WiD) is a registered non-profit membership organisation, run by volunteers whose purpose it is to promote parity with respect to opportunity, reward, recognition and professional mobility in relation to gender, inter-sectionality, race, ability, ethnicity, sexual orientation/identity, creed, age or social status.

WIN is a community of innovators working together to break down the barriers that keep women from advancing and leading in innovation. Together, we champion innovation by and for women, and are proudly building a world where women are defining and designing better futures.

WIN (Women In Innovation) is a gathering place for innovators across industries and disciplines. With more than 5,000 members globally, and local chapters in New York, San Francisco, and London, our community brings together designers, strategists, researchers, analysts, academics, product managers, technologists, and entrepreneurs.
