Brave, Not Perfect
FEAR LESS, FAIL MORE, LIVE BOLDER.
I'm Reshma, founder and CEO of the non-profit Girls Who Code and author of Brave, Not Perfect. I'm also a serial failed politician (seriously, I lost two races in less than 3 years). Lifelong political activist and Democratic organizer. A former lawyer and alum of Harvard Kennedy School, Yale Law School and the University of Illinois. Proud New Yorker. Wannabe Bollywood Dancer. Wellness of body and mind are a constant work in progress. Wife to Nihal, mom to a four year old named Shaan, and dog-mom to Stanley;, she's a beagle bulldog mix. But first and foremost, I'm a recovering perfectionist — and that's why I wrote Brave, Not Perfect.

Building Education
BE THE CHANGE
The Building Education mission is to end extreme poverty by building 1,000 schools and providing education in the pursuit of transforming rural villages and poverty-stricken areas into prosperous, dignified communities.
We believe in a world where every child has an equal opportunity to education. We build schools to make education accessible, provide scholarships and empower children to become contributing members of society. Education creates a ripple effect wherein the empowered members can lift their village out of poverty through economic activities.
Leaders create leaders. We help villagers to attain self-realization through relevant skills and better employment prospects. With our mentorship, beneficiaries participate in vocational training and awareness programs. They feel empowered to change their lives by starting sustainable social enterprises.

Carnegie STEM Girls
CarnegieSTEMgirls.org is a comprehensive site with activities, resources, and links designed to get teenagers excited about STEM - science, technology, engineering, and math. There are areas for students, teachers, and parents. Visitors can read about cool careers, learn about STEM programs and competitions, and link to a variety of other sites that help to provide a rich learning experience.
Despite comprising half of the overall workforce, women hold only 25% of science and technology-related jobs in America's public and private sectors. We need to change that. There are so many careers that women can pursue in science, technology, engineering, and math! We want girls to recognize that STEM topics and careers are pretty cool - maybe even cool enough to be part of their future plans. To help them envision these possibilities, the Carnegie STEM Girls Programs offer after school opportunities, the Tour Your Future program, special events, and the comprehensive CarnegieSTEMgirls.org website!
