Ladies in DevOps

A SAFE SPACE FOR WOMEN WORKING IN THE DEVOPS SPACE.

"Ladies in DevOps" was first created by Pauline after an recording an inspiring podcast episode with 3 DevOps Engineers (Erleene, Rahmat & Yasmin.) Off the back of that conversation, we highlighted two things:

  • We often find ourselves being the only woman in our DevOps teams. This can be quite isolating.
  • There lacks visibility of the exciting career opportunities in the DevOps space. We want to change this!

This community welcomes all self-identifying women who are in that DevOps profession already (or similar - e.g. Site Reliability Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Operational Support Analysts) and/or those who are interested in learning more from a tight-knit community.

Latinos in Science and Engineering

ONCE IN MAES, ALWAYS FAMILIA!

MAES was founded in Los Angeles in 1974 to increase the number of Mexican Americans and other Hispanics in the technical and scientific fields. The idea to establish a professional society for Mexican American engineers originated with Robert Von Hatten, an aerospace electronics engineer with TRW Defense Space Systems in Redondo Beach, California. Mr. Von Hatten had for several years served as volunteer for programs directed at combating the alarming number of high school dropouts. He envisioned a national organization that would serve as a source for role models, address of the needs of its members, and become a resource for industry and students.

LatinX in Animation

EMPOWERING DIVERSITY IN ANIMATION FROM PAGE TO POST.

Latino Film Institute + LXiA

Latino Film Institute (LFI) showcases, strengthens and celebrates the richness of Latino lives through the audiovisual event. We develop, activate, and support artists, creators, and executives through pathways and platforms for the expression and appreciation of their work.

LatinX in Animation (LXiA) represents a diverse group within the Animation, VFX, and Gaming industries dedicated to uniting a talented pool of innovators with a heart to create exceptional stories across multiple platforms.

We do so by organizing activities and events focused on networking, camaraderie, community service, education, communication, and professional development. LatinX in Animation will provide the resources necessary to promote and further develop creatives and decision-makers in the Animation, VFX, and Gaming industries.

Through these efforts, we hope to empower and promote the growth of Latinx diversity and minorities in all facets of the Animation, VFX, and Gaming industries by celebrating authentic stories that are About Us, Told By Us and Made By us.
