THE STEM MENTORSHIP NETWORK FOR WOMEN

We believe that everyone has a unique career journey, so we created a mentorship program and web platform that are tailored to meet women where they are on their path and catalyze their professional advancement. By taking mentees'-- undergraduate students, graduate students, postdocs, and research staff in STEM-- preferences into account every step of the way, including allowing them to select their mentors and providing themed conversation guides for defining and achieving meeting goals, we optimize impact and everyone's experience.

We enable women to get their foot in the door for their next career step by matching them with professionals more advanced in their academic and industry careers. We make it easy for all participants with flexible scheduling to accommodate both side's needs, options for both in-person and remote participation, group programming, and resources, all designed to create the most successful experience for our mentorship pairs and further our mission.

STEM Next Opportunity Fund

BRINGING HIGH-QUALITY STEM LEARNING TO MILLIONS OF YOUNG PEOPLE AND CLOSING THE GENDER GAP IN STEM CAREERS

STEM Next is playing a critical role in bringing in- and out-of-school STEM learning opportunities to millions of children and closing the gender gap in STEM careers. STEM Next Opportunity Fund is a national leader, strategic guide, policy advocate, and investor that is bringing about a transformative expansion of high-quality and inclusive STEM learning opportunities. By investing early in the life of our children, we are transforming their lives and preparing them for the 21st century economy.

STEM Next Opportunity Fund aims to ensure that millions of underserved young people have access to high-quality STEM learning experiences and eliminate the gender gap in STEM careers. Our focus is on the after school hours between 3 PM and 6 PM, a vital time for youth to explore their interests in an informal environment with mentors and supports. Out-of-school time also represents a prime opportunity for our work to tackle the deep-seated learning equity challenges that are holding back so many of America’s young people.

We aim to provide an environment where all students have the opportunity to explore and find their passion in the STEM field.

STEM You Can!

STEM You Can! is a 501 (c) (3) youth-led nonprofit organization that provides free STEM summer camps and other programs for elementary and middle school kids to spark their interest in science. We hope to show young kids that science can be fun and exciting by performing hands on experiments to explore areas, such as energy and matter, global warming and renewable energy, astronomy, chemistry, and neuroscience. Since boys are three times more likely to pursue STEM careers than girls, we are also focusing on encouraging girls to pursue scientific knowledge at a young age. We train high school and college students to start Girls Science Interactive programs in their communities and become true leaders.

Stop AAPI Hate

Stop AAPI Hate is a U.S.-based coalition dedicated to ending racism and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAs & PIs). We strive to advance the multiracial movement for equity and justice by building power for our communities, working in solidarity with other communities of color, and advocating for comprehensive solutions that tackle the root causes of race-based hate.

As the nation's largest reporting center tracking anti-AAPI hate acts, our coalition publishes data insights and research findings to paint a vivid and nuanced picture of racism and other forms of bigotry as it is experienced by our communities. Leveraging our core strategies - Data & Research, Policy & Advocacy, Community Capacity Building, and Narrative Change - we drive progress across three distinct issue areas to create a safer, more equitable future for all.
